I have loved amber fragrances for around 36 years, so it takes quite a lot for an amber perfume to genuinely surprise me.
Yasuni Amber did.
At first, I get this beautiful combination of orange and tobacco, and then the vanilla slowly begins to appear.
But what fascinates me most is the picture this fragrance creates in my mind.
Imagine standing in a cloud of warm tobacco smoke. Somewhere far in the distance, through that haze, you can almost see a field of violet lavender glowing softly. And at the same time, somewhere just behind you, someone is peeling a fresh orange.
That is exactly how Yasuni Amber feels to me.
The lavender is not shouting. It is far away, almost like part of the scenery. The orange appears from another direction, while tobacco and amber remain warm and close to the skin. Then the vanilla comes through and pulls everything together.
It is warm, deep, smooth and incredibly atmospheric.
For me, this is a proper amber-vanilla fragrance for autumn.
